Today's post concludes the series of paintings by Frieseke.

Frederik Carl Frieseke

was born on 7th April in 1874. His great-grandparents had emigrated to America from Germany in 1858. Frederik became a notable Impressionist painter who spent most of his life as an expatriate in France, working closely with the Giverny art colony. He died in 1939. The final painting here is a self-portrait watercolour dated 1901.
